Rennet Tablets
Made with microbial enzymes which contain no animal products.
Each tablet is scored into 4 segments for ease of use, when used in making hard cheeses 1/2 tablet will set 2 gallons of milk in approximately 45 minutes.
(When using milk form the grocery store you may need to add a little more rennet.)
Tablets will last 3 plus years in the freezer.
Directions;
1. Dissolve one Microbial tablet in a glass of water. Use one tablet to set 12.5 gallon (50 litres) of milk
2. When the tablet is completely dissolved, add 2 or 3 teaspoons of salt, then stir.
3. Add this solution into warmed milk at 86 – 95 degrees F (30c to 35c)
4. Stir gently for 2 to 3 minutes then allow milk to rest until it is completely set (coagulated).
