Just squirt a couple of squirts of milk onto the black screen prior to putting on the milking machine or hand milking. special screen insert makes it easy to see clots, because the liquid drains right through leaving any clotted milk or blood behind for easy viewing. Much better than other cups with a solid inner surface to squirt the milk onto.

    Great product; bigger than I thought

    This is a pretty great product. The top insert is a dark black plastic that isn't too shiny, so it gives good contrast with milk. There are parts with a fine mesh, a large mesh, and a solid surface so you can examine the first milk from each teat in a variety of ways. It rests firmly on the bottom cup so it's not likely to come out on accident, but isn't hard to remove when you're ready to empty the cup or wash the whole thing.
