Correct flexed pasterns in newborn calf
 
Fully adjustable and reusable. Specifically designed to correct the flexed pastern in the newborn calves. Also known as knuckling over of front feet. Temporary correction for contracted tendons. Splints provide support to allow the calf to put weight on the affected legs. This allows for exercise. Walking then stretches the tendons and the calf will often heal itself. Splints should be checked a couple times a day to insure they are not rubbing sores on skin. Calf can move about freely while wearing splint. Eliminates casting and taping. Made of washable tough nylon and durable molded ABS material, complete with built-in padding and VELCRO® brand hook and loop securing straps.

    Works for grown ewe, too

    I have an elderly ewe (12 yo) who has arthritis and also had a problem with knuckling with one hind leg. Fortunately this fit her well. It helped keep her upright after a spill. I kept it on for a week (swapping one of the pair out each day to wash and check her leg for sores). No sores, and the knuckling seems to have sorted itself out. It's well made: sturdy and easily cleanable.

    FLEX STOP SPLINT

    These worked great for my calf . They arrived on time and helped everything with his legs come right together.He is running, jumping and walking straight with no issue at all. I recommend Hamby Dairy Supply as well for heping me with all I needed and taking the time to help with everything.

    Braces for baby calf

    The braces were the bomb. We put them on our week old calf, that could not stand or walk far at all. He legs would fold under. We out the braces on him and he was dancing all over the place. In 3 days he was standing and walking every where. Well worth every penny.

    I bought 2 pair. I strongly suggest an instruction sheet of some type to guide the installing on a calf., what to monitor, how long to leave it on, periodic removal and cleaning., etc.

    Great product when one encounters hoof knuckling in newborn calves. But there should be directions with tips on installing including distance placement on exposed hoof. I had to add a bit wider and stronger Velcro in the blank space on the hoof area. Now it works great!
