For Surge Alamo vacuum pumps used in dairy barns and milking systems. This is a very common pump sold from the 1950s to 1999. However it can be easily confused with other 2 Alamo models.
The pump body is about 8 inches wide and the vanes measure 7 1/4 inch long.

Major rebuild kit includes 4 high quality long life Kevlar vanes, 1 double row bearing, 1 needle bearing and race, 1 shaft seal, shims and 2 o-rings for later model end plates.
Minor rebuild kit includes 4 high quality long life Kevlar vanes, 1 double row bearing, 1 needle bearing, 1 shaft seal, shims and 2 o-rings for later model end plates. (this kit does not have the race)

Note the original surge motors were marked as 4.5 hp. The replacement surge motor from GEA (WestfaliaSurge) is a 5 hp motor. they are essentially the same motor pulling the same amp draw and have the special box on the back side to fit the alamo pump frames. Motor is normally in stock and available at the link below.
